I have been reading a lot of Gothic Literature for my class recently, and this photograph draws me right in. The shadows and contrasts are deep and intriguing.

This made me think of Henry James' The Turn of the Screw, and a little of Edith Wharton's "The Lady's Maid's Bell." The fact that the Gothic draws so much on women really meshed with this photograph for me.

This is beautiful. I love the dark shape that looks like a figure inside the tree, and even the tree itself is very nice. The composition and stuff is so nice, too. Awesome stuff.

I believe the tree has been struck by lightning a few times. I stood inside it; was rather scary but amazing..
