Yeah i thought so too, but my friend, who requested it...suggested the skin tones, so i just went along with it..and I guess the pale skin tones are also meant to create a soft effect =.=....dunno If it worked though.

I do see your point, I just think the shadowy areas (like Haruhi's chin) are too dark in contrast with the rest of the skin tone, so I would suggest making the shadows lighter or the skin darker. But if you wanna keep the skin tones the way they are I'd go with the former. Or, I would if I could draw this awesomely and had any idea WTF I was talking about...
