I don't think most people even know what 'anti-social' means. It's akin to calling a person a sociopath. Shy people are not anti-social unless they're burning animals alive and kicking old people down a flight of stairs.

Definition of ANTISOCIAL
1: averse to the society of others : unsociable
2: hostile or harmful to organized society; especially : being or marked by behavior deviating sharply from the social norm
So, I believe they were going with the first definition.. since the person isn't a sociopath..

Most people use the term antisocial meaning unsociable..
