This series of portrait's dedicated to Andre Matos, the former lead vocalist of a brazilian melodic power metal band name ANGRA and currently with another power metal band neme SHAAMAN. Melodic power metal is one of my favourite genres in music and ANGRA's among the first bands that drew me into this sub-genre. Their first release ANGEL CRY's till one of my favourite albums of all time and to me Andre Matos's one of the finest singer of the genre..This one's drawn from his cerrent photoshoot..

I love Angra so when Andre left Angra I checked out his new band as well. They aren't that well-known in Oz apart from among the people who love this kind of music I guess.

Oh, my god. I LOVE THAT!!! I'm fan of Angra and Shaaman. And I also think Angra is and was - when AndrΓ© Matos was there - one of the best bands in the world.... Do you have the album "Holy Land"? AndrΓ© Matos said one time, here in Brazil that this album is the one which brings most part of his musical style of making the musics, hope you can have that album, it's so good!!! In a tribute to Angra I made some art. Check out my profile if you want to see. The picture about Angra you can find there was based on the cover art of the album "Rebirth", from the new Angra, hope you like it!!!
And yes, I do know Shaaman is no more. And I'm also very sad... And by the way, may you please tell me, if you do know, what is AndrΓ© Matos working on actually????

Andre's doing his solo project with the rest of Shaaman's member minus Ricardo. Glad to see another Angre and Andre fan here.

Of course I have that "Holy Land" album..lol..I've followed Angra since 1995.. I love all of their albums including those with Edu as the vocallist.
