[CHARACTER INFO]
Personality:
[+] Considerate, selfless, responsible, hard-worker.
[=] Quiet, thin existence, observant, expressionless.
[-] Indecisive, awkward, over thinking, unconfident.
Rene is a collected person who's always seen with a cold, uninterested face. She's a polite girl with few words. Due to his passive trait, it's easy for people to miss her, though she doesn't feel bothered about it. Since she was also raised in a poor family, Rene easily emphatizes with people and never hesitates to help them in any way. She prioritizes other people's need rather than her own. She's not good with words, so she'd rather show it by actions. She can randomly pat your head or give you a hug to comfort you whenever she notices you're feeling down and she doesn't think twice to do it. Rene holds her commitment and responsibilities greatly and she always tries her best not to break them. She also likes to keep things organized, so you can easily find her cleaning the area.
But when it comes to making decisions, Rene isn't the person. She usually overthinks the consequences and the effects to people around her that leads her to being inconsistent. She doesn't like to intimidate people, so she mostly keeps her opinions and feelings to herself. When Rene is asked about it, she'll cover her thoughts by saying not the whole thing, but only the necessary part--though mostly she mutters random noises for so long people will move to another person. Rene isn't confident with herself and her abilities which leads to her being a hardworker. Rene isn't the type to start chatting with people smoothly in the first meeting. Her responses are most likely to be short and tends to make people feel awkward. Whenever she notices the person she's talking to feels uncomfortable, she'll try hard to come up with another topic.
History:
TL;DR | Rene's family used to live poorly in Deadend Downfall. They started working in the farm once a farmer took them in. Rene and her younger brother started getting along with the farmer's son, Liam. Liam take them to many places to play, like the forest and the town. One day, they found a baby bird fallen from its nest and started taking care of it, giving it a name, Beleric. Rene's father told them it was a fox kestrel, a type of falcon that can accompany them when they go hunting. When Rene was 11, Liam suddenly asked her to go to Midgard Sanctuary because he wanted to see Noctil soldiers. Rene tried to stop him since she knew it would be too dangerous, but Liam didn't change his mind. Rene didn't have much choice but to follow him along, bringing her bow for safety. The sanctuary was empty and they didn't see any guards there. When they visited the settlement, they found a mountain of weapons. Soon, some Noctil soldiers already stood behind them. They tried to defend themselves with the weapon available. Liam told Rene to run and Rene did. She was about to find the guards when she heard Liam screamed and found him stabbed by the soldier. Rene raged and without thinking, started attacking the soldiers. They managed to catch her and keep her down. But Beleric came and attacked the soldiers. Rene noticed it was her cue to escape and she ran as fast as she could with Beleric followed her soon after. Back at home, Rene knew she had to tell the truth to Liam's family. They cast her and her family out. Her family started working on their own farm and Rene took the courage to join the army in order to get stronger.
-----
Rene wasn't a lucky girl. She was born to a poor family living in Deadend Downfall. Her parents' jobs were uncertain. They changed from one work to another, until a farmer took them in. They started working in the farmhouse in the Golden Plains. Her father took care of the plants and her mother worked in the house's kitchen. Rene would occassionally help her mother, but she was mostly told to look after her little brother. They got along with the farmer's son who was two years older than Rene, Liam. He was a cheerful boy and even more childish than Rene. They played in the farm and sometimes even visited the forest nearby to pick wild flowers or herbs. Once, they found a baby bird, fallen from its nest. Since they couldn't find the nest, they decided to take care of it and named it Beleric. At first, they hid it from their parents and kept it in an unused barn. As the bird grew, it started screeching loudly that Rene's father realized there was something inside the barn. In the end, they told the truth that they had been keeping a bird inside. Fortunately, Rene's father was an open person. He knew he could count on her and decided to help them taking care of the bird if they needed anything. From her father, Rene found out that Beleric is a falcon--a fox kestrel--and that she could bring it for hunting once it grew bigger.
Unlike Rene who always considered everything before making decisions, Liam was like a tornado. He would storm out of nowhere and shouted a random place they should go next. He even took them to see the palace from up close, the place Rene never dreamed she could visit. They caused ruckus sometimes, but Rene remembered them as warm memories. And one day, when Rene was 11, she and her brother were learning how to use bow from her father for hunting. Liam whispered to Rene and asked them to visit Midgard Ruins together. He wanted to see the soldiers, he said. Rene tried to suggest them going to Soleil Warfront instead, because it'd be safer. But Liam declined, telling that he wanted to see the infamous Noctil soldiers. Rene wasn't sure if their parents would let them, but Liam insisted that they shouldn't tell anyone about it. She tried persuading Liam that it'd be too dangerous to go since she heard both kingdows were actively sending troops to the area for battles. But he was being stubborn and pleaded Rene to go with him. Eventually, Rene couldn't refuse. She agreed, but she forbade her brother to come along.
They didn't pack much, but Rene brought his father's bow and arrows along. She lied to his parents, telling them they only went for hunting. On their way, Rene kept telling Liam that they could turn back. Liam, of course, didn't change his mind. Rene saw such enthusiasm in his eyes and she knew she couldn't do anything but to follow him. They saw no one when they approached Midgard Ruins. Rene was a bit relieved, but she also felt suspicious. Liam led them to Capital Central Gate to see the winged halo. He looked excited, but Rene never dropped his guard. Liam decided they should go to Midgard Sanctuary next. Rene thought it should be safer since there are soldiers guarding the sanctuary from battles, but her anxiety grew when he found no one. The settlement was empty. Liam dragged her to visit another one and they found a mountain of weapons. Rene realized something was wrong and asked Liam to go back home, but Liam got too fascinated with the weapons and started examining them. When Rene noticed they had been causing so much noise, she asked Liam to leave, but they were too late.
Behind them, stood four Noctil soldiers. They looked drunk with weapons in their hands. Without thinking, Rene quickly shot one of them with his bow. She knew she was scared, but she saw Liam stood in front of her, trying to guard her with a sword in his hand. Rene realized Liam was frightened too. Liam started waving his sword to back the soldiers away from them. They noticed his trembling hands and laughed at it, since he looked like he tried playing as a hero. Rene knew they successfully taunted Liam when he started jabbing the soldiers randomly which they dodged easily. As Liam tried to keep them busy, he told Rene to run and leave. Rene refused, telling Liam that she too can fight with her bow. Liam screamed at her to leave or he'd never consider her as his friend. Rene was shocked, and in the end, she did what Liam said. She ran as fast as she could and tried not to look back at Liam and told herself that she'd look for the sanctuary guards to save him. It was then when she heard a scream. It was Liam's. Rene turned around and found that one of the soldiers stabbed him. The blade pierced through his body and blood quickly dyed his clothes. Their eyes locked for a second before Liam's lifeless body fell to the ground. Rene couldn't accept what she had seen. Her emotional bursts turned into soundless screams. Without thinking, she charged at the soldiers. She picked a lance on the ground near her feet and started attacking. She only saw flashes of images as she striked the soldiers. Their surprised faces. Blood. Fallen body.
Her lack of skills still couldn't win over the soldiers. Two of them were still alive and they managed to keep her down and took her weapons. Rene thought that was her end. She regretted for leaving Liam behind and not fighting beside him, but she hoped he would forgive her if the soldiers also took her life. Right when the soldier already lift his sword, she heard the sword fell on the ground instead. The soldiers yelled and Rene knew she wasn't their main focus anymore. She looked up at found Beleric attacking the soldiers with his talons and sharp beak. That was when she realized she shouldn't give up yet. Rene took his bow back before signaling Beleric to leave the soldiers. She ran and not long after, Beleric followed her. They managed to reach the forest and hide before the soldiers could catch them.
It wasn't easy for Rene to go home, but she knew she couldn't escape. She told the truth to both her and Liam's parents, only she tried taking the blame by saying that she was the one asking Liam to go to the Midgard Sanctuary together. Liam's parents were furious and quickly cast her out, along with her family. Rene's father realized that Rene was lying and told Rene it wasn't her fault. Rene cried and that she promised she'd be stronger to avenge Liam's death. Later, her family struggled to build their own farm, but eventually their life got better. Rene finally got the courage to tell her family and joined the army.

- Has the best sense of direction.
- While Rene enjoys listening to songs or any tune, she'd never sing. Don't make her.
- Pretty decent in cooking and excels at cleaning.
- Speaks slowly with gaps between words when giving lengthy speech since she chooses her words carefully.
- There are times when Rene starts speaking, but she stops middle way and tells you not to mind it.
- You must at least try twice to get her attention. But once you got it, she would get fully focused on you.
- Is a better listener than a speaker (if that isn't obvious enough).

Rene met him when she was living in Deadend Downfall. They played together several times, but she hadn't seen him again once she moved to the Golden Plains. Years later, they met again after joining the army. He reminded Rene of her younger brother.
