Japan is a nice place. Anyone wanting to visit might have a great experience as a tourist or short term resident. However, when you've lived here for a while it loses quite a bit of its magic, and you begin to see things differently.

I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing. It's more along the lines of 'ignorance is bliss'. There are many views held about Japan, its culture, and its people. When people live here for an extended amount of time, they begin to see that many of those views are distorted or flat out wrong. Nonetheless, there are still many things to appreciate here.

Ah, do they have Christian churches there? If so maybe you could go to one, just to hear the word and/or get saved. If you already are then I encourage you to keep the faith.

I know you probably feel your question was simple; however, I was afraid that if I had answered your question straightforwardly, it will seem to be an open ended answer that might incline you to ask more, which is fine in most circumstances, but some people are very sensitive about their religious beliefs. Also, discussing religion is fine, but I don't enjoy debating religion. Because of this, I'd rather not speak too much on it. Nonetheless in short, yes there are Christian churches here, but most that I've had the experience of attending are either non-denominational or strange in some way by comparison to what people might consider the norm in the US.

Heh heh, nice. For a moment, I thought the giraffe just had a fishbowl on its head and was ironically standing above it all while still somehow struggling not to get submerged, kind of a the-real-problem-is-in-your-head thing, but then I noticed the water was coming in from the outside. Pretty fun, silly piece, I especially like the angular, muscular detail of the giraffe.
