We hardly speak Spanish in Surinam, and it's not because we like Nl so much that we speak Dutch, it's because itbwas mandatory and we just stuck with it :/

Venezuela's flag wasn't inspired by a swedish women. "The symbolism traditionally ascribed to the colors are that the yellow band stands for the wealth of the land, the red for courage and blood, and the blue for the independence from Spain"

Blue stands for the blessing of waters. the 8 stars are the symbol of independence which symbolize all major states which formed the republic

Hm, didn't find Trinidad on the list of "official" South American countries at the time. And that's literally the only reason.
(I'm from Sweden and had to look it up just now... truly, I never was the best person to make these XD)

Sorry for my horrible sense of geography - but where, or in what part of the world are those places in? ^^

haha no they are not places they are native ecuadorian names from the Colonial age...they were half brothers and the last kings of the incan empire...

Hehe it was just a comment, but you should see pictures of "common" ecuadorians instead of profesionals pictures or native people because all the time we just see the stereotype native, it would help to get a accurate idea of the ecuadorians real features...we are a combination of native indians and Spanish conquistadores.
saludos.

Ooooh! *smacks head* Well, that's cool.
Yeah, I know. But like I said in the info: I was lazy and just looked up some basic ifo about the counties, then drew a couple o' different dark skinned people (I know Ecuador just happened to look a bit more "native" than the others, no such thing intended). I know in fact that you're a combo of native indians+spanish, although I SUCK at telling people from different countries apart: that's why I don't want anyone else to use these characters. Because they're pretty damn inaccurate.
Thank you for all the info, I'll remember it all <3
