Some fanart I drew. Drakengard 3 is actually my least favorite in the series, but since it's more know around here I drew this one first. When I have more time I'll draw one alike from the other two also.

I absolutely love they way you portrayed both Zero and Mikhail! I grew up playing Drakengard 1 and 2 so I was really excited about this game. They really dropped the ball on it though :c The character designs and music were beautiful but the actual story and gameplay were no where near as good as the first 2. It seems like they were really forcing vulgarity just for the sake of it, which was really disappointing. I've only beaten the first 2 ending and and there are only a few references to the previous games other than being able to get dlc outfits for Zero.
All that aside, if I just pretend it's not a Drakengard game it's pretty okay XD

I reeeally want to play it because of the story... sigh. The characters look so pretty and amazing, but I don't think anything could live up to Drakengard 1. Caim and Angelus...their story still brings tears to my eyes.
Nowe was kind of a wimp compared to Caim, but... yeeeah, he had his moments, tho Legna was pretty darn nice.
I really need to look up a playthrough, I'll probably not buy this one if it's as bad as you mentioned :'D Your art is amazing, however! Dat dragon... dat dragooon <3

Oh Caim and Angelus. The feels in 2 ruined me for weeks.
Nowe is a lil boy and had it way easier than Caim so naturally he isn't as kickass, but I still enjoy him as the main character more than I did Zero. Also yes Nowe had Legna and Urik. I want Legna to read bedtime stories for me xD
To me they tried to make Zero edgy way too hard and that ruined the character for me, but you should check it out yourself to see what you think.

I'm glad I didn't buy the game. I watched a playthrough of it on youtube because it looked too pretty to be true and just different from the previous games before of which I loved and adored growing up. The third game was just so disappointing and took away what was made previously and this third installment just popped out of nowhere with no warning. So I'm glad I didn't buy it. I liked a lot of the artwork in it and everything but just overall very disappointing to me.
I really like the posing in this and the dragon in the background. Always liked their dragons. :} Her outfit is kick ass too.

Oh I'm so happy to hear someone who thinks the same way as me of the game. I can't deny how salty I was about this game. Yes, It has lovely designs for the characters, but sadly that's not enough. I didn't get a chance to buy it so I looked up a playthrough too and I'm so glad I did. It was so disappointing and out of place when you think about the first two. I think the game was too focused on foul language and sex jokes. Yes I enjoy those, but not in a drakengard game. Also the timeline thing and breaking the 4th wall thing ruined the game for me.

The dragons in the games have been a huge inspiration for me, not quite the typical looking and I love that. Agreed, the outfit is awesome as is all the outfits in all of the games.

Exactly. The first two games were connected. This one I honestly couldn't tell if it was a prequel or a sequel. It just didn't make sense. None of it did and it was just in bad taste all of it. Plot, characters and just the jokes and even the language. All of the characters were like from some anime of the worst or the most crazy character villains and just mashed together. It was just ugh. Rage all around and ya the fourth wall was definitely broken a few times and uncomfortably so. I was heartbroken for such a beautiful series to be twisted like that. They had all that time and money and then they give the fans that garbage. I hate to rage like that but that game series was part of my childhood and one of my most favorite games.
You did a nice job overall. I love the tone and colors. Very dark and a lovely combination.
I friggin loved the dragons. Angelus and Legna then the white ancient dragons I can't remember if that's what they were called from the second game. Michael or Mikael I think is how they spelled it was very pretty too. Their color palettes <333

That really is one of the bigger problems with the third game, it really didn't fit in any way. I'm not sure cause I haven't checked, but I think it continues one of the first games endings. Still feels disconnected.
I think the game tried to be edgier to sell better outside of Japan, but it really doesn't work for it. Mostly just disappointed the fans that the game already had here. I was so hyped when hearing a new game was coming but this just didn't live up to anything. I don't know if it's just me but the final battle was horrible. The flower things 3D model looked unfinished, like it was missing textures.
The dragons are amazing and I love that you could use them in the battle I specially like how you could call Legna to jump on and rain fire on the masses of enemies.

I liked the music in the last battle. It was pretty but ya. Really unfinished and really jsut a repeat of the first game's ending or one of the endings. If that's the case then this had to be a alternate universe or alternate ending game then. Because the second was off of the first ending in the first game. So if there was like what four or five endings then I guess its alternate universes of whatever decisions you make to end it with that. So...it may be that but just poorly done.

Yeah the music was nice in the final battle. It was pretty nice in the other ones too, but just wasn't what I'd imagine finding from a drakengard game.
In the end it could have been a better game if it wasn't sold as Drakengard 3. Just didn't live up to the other ones.
