Description "Is the soba ready yet?"

My favorite character from my all-time favorite manga- it's Miyako!

Hidamari sketch (known is English as Sunshine Sketch) is a 4-panel manga focusing around the lives of a group of girls who live in the Hidamari apartment complex and go to the same art high school. It's a lot of fun, but at the same time there are some serious parts with the main character, Yuno, deeply questioning her art which is unlike any other 4-panel that I've read before.

With head drawing that I do, I'm trying to push myself a bit out of my comfort zone. So, even though I hate drawing hands I always try to show them. In this particular drawing, her right arm was tricky for me to do.

Don't ask what happened with the right arm+hand. xD Or the back of the head...

The kanji in the bubble is for "Miyako", in case you haven't figured it out yet...

I got the background by editing a picture of a Hot Chocolate notebook that I have.

Very nice lineart and coloring job! But I think the head is too flat, maybe if you moved the eyes closer together? But did you do this digitally or draw it and then scan it in? And you did a really nice job of going outside of your comfort zone, I'm trying to do the same thing too!

Thanks. 8D What happened was I was trying to use the mangaka's style (which looks a bit chibi) and use my own and it became a bit jumbled. xD I drew the sketch on lined paper, took a picture, and then edited it a bit digitally before working on it. Hurrah! Next drawing will hopefully be at a different angle. xD
