HISTORY :
Owen Chevalier was born in a quaint home in Sacramento, California. Owen remembers most of his childhood as simple and happy, with the most prominent ones the Sunday prayers at church followed by pleasant riverside picnics with his parents. His father Raphael was your average accountant, working his life with numbers and worksheets, while his mother Vanessa was the sweet housewife who looked after the abode of their household. However, his beloved mother left them too early as a vehicular accident took her life. Owen was only 4 years old when the accident happened, and he was waiting at his pre-school for her to pick him up. He could only recall how his father was the one who came for him, with tears running down his face, explaining how his mother had "left and gone to see God in heaven". At first, Owen did not understand what it meant but slowly began to learn that his mother was not coming back to them. His father took most of the blow for the accident and wished to leave Sacramento because it held too many sweet memories for him to bear. A year later, both moved out and flew to Lyon, France, his father's home city.

In this bustling riverside city, Owen lived his early teenage years happily with his father, who had managed to cope with the loss of his wife after several years. He knows this best as he did his best to look after his father in his mother's stead, cooking, cleaning and looking after the house. What he did not expect was that his father would someday come home and introduce him to his new lover and soon-to-be "mother", Lucilia Cordes, a prominent modiste in Lyon. When Owen met her, she had recently been divorced and had children of her own, Lucas and Elizabeth Cordes. Age-wise, Lucas was older than him by 4 years and Elizabeth was younger than him by 3 months, making Owen the middle child. Owen was not quite happy with the sudden changes, but he loved his father dearly and knew his father's happiness mattered more to him rather than keeping him a lonely man for the rest of his life.

Once their families were together and living under one roof, it took a while before Owen could open up and adjust to his new family. Slowly, he began to feel more connected to his siblings and even began looking up to his older step-brother Lucas. Elizabeth was more of the sister who just nagged at him and always made him do things for her. Not that Owen really minded. Owen never had siblings and this was all fresh to him. Later on, he opened up to the two about his dream of becoming a police officer since he began a fascination with cop films and criminal investigation series. Elizabeth laughed it off, but Lucas fully supported him. And Owen saw this support even until he was applying for college. His father wanted him to follow in his footsteps and take up accountancy but Lucas stood up for him and brought forward how Owen should decide what he really wanted to do. And even if their parents did not fully support him, Lucas exclaimed he would be willing to finance his brother just to let Owen's dream come true. Owen remembered he had cried so much that day.

Now that he had just freshly graduated with a degree in law enforcement, he set his mind to save enough money to pay back his debt. He moved back to California, his mother's home city, in hopes to start a new life and forge his own path. Currently, he is working as a university campus security guard to save money, rake up his needed experience and prepare for the examinations to enter the police force.
