Description This one I like a lot. It was cut off a bit on the sides so it is a lot thinner than it should be, but I still love it. Was REALLY easy too; almost no shading needed. Took only a couple hours (had to restart at one point).

She looks so wise and wonderful. Though I've never liked Cate Blanchett as Galadriel that much, I have to admit that this is amazing! It's really, really fitting (and I guess, it's just the way Arwen and Galadriel speak in the movies that I don't like, for I just don't believe that all elleths speak that mysterious, slow and pathetic way )

Heh, this pic is old- about 5 years old now XD I think Cate Blanchett has some great moments, and then some not-so-great moments, but I blame that more on the scriptwriters.

The slow deepness fits my view of Galadriel- she's so oolllddd- but Arwen, yea, Arwen is a young elf. Granted, I suppose they were really trying to distinguish her from Eowyn as being "wiser" or something (distinguish her in the 'people who have the hots for Aragorn' group), hehe.

It fits Galadriel way better than Arwen, of course. And you're right, for her it was in fact fitting But for Arwen... it was all that "Oh my God, I lost Aragorn and I am supposed to go to the Havens and I'll never see him again, poor me, and that's why I have to speak so slowly and deeply because my grief's enormous..."-thing

Sorry for the slight delay XD

Dude, Arwen in the second and third films was annoying with that Havens plotline! They added that in rather hastily because she was originally supposed to show up in Helm's Deep and give Aragorn Anduril... yea. So I'm not sure what's worse: Arwen in Helm's Deep or the whole 'Arwen dying' plot. I personally would have worked it out differently. Maybe more dream sequences or flashbacks.

The worst is that Arwen stole Asfaloth and rode off to rescue Frodo Closely followed by those you mentioned, in my opinion. Whereof Helm's Deep is not properly done anyway, or has someone ever heard of Haldir there? I guess he would have rather stayed at home to protect Galadriel and LothΓ³rien than being sent to Helm's Deep by Elrond ^^

LOL, actually one thing I didn't mind about the films was Arwen's increased role XD I really think it needed to be increased for her story with Aragorn to make sense, since they couldn't just add in an Appendices. And that way film-goers would understand why he rejected Eowyn. Granted, in the third film I wouldn't have had the Arwen-dying is connected to the Ring plot, that made no sense.

And if Glorfindel had been there instead, he may have taken Haldir's place and died in Helm's Deep O.o So, yea, I'm ok with Glorfy being in the background. I also believe he lent Arwen his horse because her own horse was obviously, uh, resting because of a lame foot XD Yes, I have my own excuses to make up for those scenes...

That's one thought that sounds plausible to me - I didn't think about that one before

Glorfindel dying in Haldir's place - not so bad. His job was over with rescuing Frodo And Glorfindel being sent from Elrond is more plausible than Haldir. That was another point I stared and thought "Why that?"

I mean, not that I wish Glorfindel to die, but Haldir was supposed to stay in LothlΓ³rien and protect his home and probably his lady instead of running around bringing messages from Elrond...

Ugh, if Glorfindel died that would have pissed me off more than Haldir's death did XD I prefer him unseen and alive XD

Oh, I agree completely. The reason I remember Haldir saying he came from Lord Elrond is because Elrond and Arwen traveled to Lorien in an earlier version of TTT, back when Arwen traveled to Helm's Deep to give Anduril to Aragorn. They rewrote that quite a bit, but there's still evidence of the old plot, including Haldir's appearance and his strange words.

Okay, I don't care much about Craig-Haldir dying, too But if the real one would, I'd be probably angry. I prefer him in LothlΓ³rien guarding the forest and it's lady.

This is quite interesting information - thanks! And it brings some light to that confusing scene.

The first though that hit me when I saw this drawing was the expression of her face. I think you manage that very well. The face expression is exactly right. Good work

Very nice technique you used in this piece. I like the fact that the hood isn't shaded...give it a more airy feel and you captured her very well.

Thanks. I was definitely debating about shading the hood or not to make the face stand out more, but in the end I decided against it. I'm glad you like it

Wow! That's great! It really looks like her!

It's nice to see someone else who cuts of parts of the picture. I helps draw the attention of the viewer to the features you are focussing on. ^_^
