Description My First piece for this account

Done with water color, acrylic and fineliners.
This is for an art project redo I did over the break. We were assigned to create a piece using any media that showed the juxtaposition of nature and human affects. With my piece I chose to show both the positive and negative outlooks of the situation.

The woman on the top who I depicted to be made out of ice, stone and glaciers is meant to represent everything negative. There is nothing growing on her, she is barren with no hope left. Then opposite to her I have mother earth who has an abundance of growth and hope.

Good job, especially with the stunning background colours. A GREAT range in them, but it's not overbearing. The faces are really done well too. The only suggestive I have would be to not have the area around the nose jut out so much. Also, the woman on the top's nostril is quite a bit on the side of her nose, as opposed to underneath. Other than that, super job with everything. I'm loving the colours! ^_^

very well done, I would have prefer the girl on top with blue and dark tons than white like this, but you did a very good good overall, and the background is neat!

The sky is beautifully done! You did a great job mixing the different colours while still having them look vibrant and brilliant and not muddy. I also like the contrast between the coloured face and the "barren" face", though IMO to depict something icy and cold and negative you should have done more than just leave the paper blank. The details of the hair of the coloured one, however, are very interesting and engage the eye.
