UPDATE!: I KNow i'll come off sounding like a bitch but PLEASE PLEASE if you feel the need to fav this piece, PLEASE Let me know WHY? WHAT exactly is it about this ...as i feel it is now CRAP compared to my actual REAL Work,....THING, that EVERYONE seems to like?This thing is faved more i think than anything i have really worked hard one,...I'm at the point to DELETE it, because i now HATE this piece sooo much...
but again, if you feel the need, let me know why? as in a real in length reason. or please DO NOT FAVE AT ALL.
i'm so close to removing it, i really do not understand at all why everyone thinnks this crappy drawing that took me 5 seconds to jot down with CRAYONS is sooooo emotional
again sorry if i sound bitchy , but i really need to know why?!!!!!!!!!

if you really need to know why its because of the colors Oo, i'm a weird person that sees colors when she feels things or sees things that have feeling attached to them, or when i hear sounds 
if the colors thing confuses you just google "synesthesia" its easier than me explaining lol

thanks, yea i've gotten a lot of good feedback on this piece and have decided not to take it down like i was gonna do before,...i guess this piece may not mean much to me anymore but it has touched others,..it reminds me what art can really be

i faved it because i honestly feel like i connected with it. The colours are beautiful and the emotion is portrayed brilliantly well. I got to a point in my life where i honestly couldnt see the point, and this made me feel like i wasnt completely alone, so i faved it!

It's quite simple, yet filled with details, if you know what I mean.. I guess it's just that the sadness is really visible due to the choice of colors and the tears(?), and that makes it so 'emotional'. It is not crappy! >:

I think what most people like about THIS drawing is the colors and the emotion... It might be crap for you, but the way the colors were applied on this make me perceive a lot of emotion...
Of course, that's my own opinion, but I really love this drawing.

Aw...come on, its isn't crap. Even though you used colors that would normally be referred as "happy" and "bubbly" when i saw this, i did feel sadness radiating from this piece. Its really the eyes that shows the grief, as if she just suffered some horrific tragedy.

i like it because i feel the depths of mistrust and betrayal. angry, alive colors. sad, flowing shapes. face it, we are all artists in our ways. i like it from what i feel of it, i relate to it.....i am young, but i know these feeling. i look at this and the rain my safety. i should hate it. i should. i dont. i see beauty. so yeah, i do like it. so do you but you are self consious.

I think it's the eye - the tilt of it, the slight looking up, the shadow on it, the smudges that could be tears under it. Then the mouth is open just enough I interpret is as surender. Also, the fact that it is rough and unfinished adds a sense of urgency to it, as if you were in a real need to get the emotions out.

i read the description. i faved it because it just looks like you just took some paper and a couple pencils and put all your emotion on the paper. it feels genuine to me

i like the detail of her eyes. even the light blue lines above her eyes capture the details of sadness as when the eyes draw downwards. and the dark blue under her eyes are almost like...tears? the purple accents her eyes. all this blue and purple is mysterious and sad. maybe by coincidence you captured sadness very well? a sad eye is complicated to draw, i can't pinpoint it or i would be able to draw one myself!

I like this piece because it may be a "doodle" to you, and something meanlingless but I think it's beauitful because you can see the sadness in her eyes, and the emotions pouring out of her. And I like the fact that it's with crayons rather than fancy colored pencils or something, it makes it..unique. Also the colors you used, it really suits it well. It speaks deeper than you think. People view art differently. Good though. I really like it.

you dont need to know why... its your art and if ur down sizing it so much then delete it. i dont think anybody would want it coming from an unappriciative artist that cant even appriciate how good their skill is. Now im going to draw a stick person and say "wow i really did it this time!"

i love the colors, and the simplicity of it is wonderful. by simplicity, i mean the fact that you didn't really define the shape of her head, it took up the whole page. this created a feeling as if she were real, like she could come of of the page and live as an actual person.

Doodles are quick & simple, not too much thinking, instinct as you will.
Every line, every colour here is dead on, not a single one wasted.

I like it because even though you sketched it quickly, it conveys pain and other emotions. You shouldn't delete something just because people like it and you don't. The amount of time you took drawing it doesn't matter. The medium you used doesn't matter. What matters to me, and to other people, is that at just a glance you can see the hurt filling thet sketch. That is why people like it. And considering you put it up on the internet to share it with the world, you shouldn't delete it when people like it. Deviantart isn't about only showing what you like, it's about showing art, which isn't always perfect. In fact, it never is. So please don't delete this~

My thoughts on why people fav this: I think people just like the look of things that were drawn quickly and seemingly nonchalantly and yet it still looks like a work of art. When you take a long time on things, you lose the spontaneous feel that intrigues people; you erase, you rethink shapes and lines, and that can be a good thing, but when you can sketch and still have it come out looking like this, it's more interesting.
It happens to me too. I have photos I think are inferior to my newer images, but people fav the old ones like crazy and I don't really understand it.

Simply stunning. The expression captures the feeling of sadness so well. It screams of pain even when the colors it is drawn in seem cheerful. I suppose you can call it the irony of putting on a happy mask. This is why I am drawn to this piece of art.

For me, it's not the shading, or the colours or the technique. It's her expression. One word, if you want to have it in short form: Mood.
I got quite melancholic a few minutes ago and happened to search for melancholic pictures here. There were really good ones and even better ones, but none carried this atmosphere and this mood. It's exactly what I was looking for. One really feels like he could see a reflection in her eye, someone or something she's facing, a reason for all that. It doesn't look like the meant-to-be-sad-way but sad. Not more, not less. And because there is nothing else in this picture than pure sadness, it's beautiful.

It has so much emotion in it, even if its a quick sketch or worthy of the scraps section of ur gallery.
I just love it, she looks beautiful this girl but, inside her eye there is a pain and i just love it, the style and colour is just lovely.
