wow! That's beautiful!!! The paper texture does make it look a lot like watercolor, but I can tell the paints had a much cleaner blending.

This is one of the best paintings I've seen on DA in a long time!
The lighting, the colors, the dress... all wonderful!
I think it would look better with the eyes fully closed though, that's just my opinion

That's really amazing I think. Nice shadows and highlights on the skin, and sort of interesting the way the colours on her upper body seems somewhat warmer than her legs. Nice.

very nice (both the painting and the girl). very good shadowing effect!
critique (imho, as always): the shoulder on the right (left shoulder of the girl) seems to be a little to pointed (not round enough). there's a line on the hair-line, which shouldn't be here.

uhmm... you should know that this picture is based on an oil painting and I just copied the same but adapting it in water color... I'm not experienced enough to invent that pictures xD

don't be anxious to yourself. try it. simply try it. there is a certain danger, that you might have to trash the first few pieces. but after that you have made the next step in your understanding and creating of art. so, try it simply! you have nothing to loose.
one last thought: search in google, altavista, or the like for an online-dictionary. i'm sure, that you will find a few good ones. use the one, which fits best your needs. (whispering: i also always have a window open, where a dictionary is waiting to be asked!)
