It's been a while since I last coloured a pic with pencils... Hmm... I like photoshopping more.
Much easier.Anyway, this is obviously Lily Evans and Severus Snape - kinda from "The Prince's Tale" chapter in Deathly Hallows. I'm guessing that the swing should be a metal frame, but I think a swing hanging from a tree looks much nicer.

well, on the brighter side--colored pencils helped create a dreamy, sort of flashback fell (personally, it does. maybe because it's so rare now and thus associated with the yesteryears...)

This is one of my favorite parts of the book! It's nice to see you do a drawing in colored pencils for a change, the colors are so soft and pretty.

I also learned Photoshopping the hard way - there wasn't anyone to teach me, so I experimented. I took me four years to get to my current Photoshop-knowledge-level... and there's still a lot to learn.

Her expression is so sweet! I love the feeling of childlike innocence and hope that Lily radiates..and the way that Snape is obviously wanting to join, but hesitant. This is so beautiful. The colored pencils that you used add to the feeling of childhood the whole picture has. Thanks for posting it!

Well, I haven't been on DeviantArt in about four months, but I'm back so I have to look through all your art that I missed. I decided to finally read the 5th, 6th, and 7th Harry Potter books last week, so now I can be up on everything in your art. Ha.
Anyways, this is great. Colored pencils may be harder, but you're awesome at it and the effect looks great.
