Photo taken in our garden yesterday. Can you tell how much I LOVE photographing flowers?

I love it. *squeals* We have pink, white, orange, and yellow lilies at my house. But we have no fire lilies. The orange ones are only a plainish orange, they are no where near as beautiful as the fire lily. I love the name as well as the flower. It's beautiful, and there's even dew on the grass in the background.

WE call them tiger lilies too. In Massachusetts they grow all along the road. Gorgeous picture, by the way.

Too true. And as a reply to someone else- in Pennsylvania we call them Tiger Lillies too, but aren't these a different type of lily? There are certain types of tiger lily that look like this, but if you google fire lillies, you can see pictures of...this type of flower. The Tiger Lillies I normally see have spots, though.

Tiger lily might be its proper English name, I just didn't know that. In Hungarian we call them 'tűzliliom', that translates as fire lily.

you might be right - yes i love flowers, however i'm allergic so if i ever hae my own home i'm going to have to hire a gardener or something - my grandma's turned our backyard in to a nature conservatory in the middle of the city - we have squirrels, rabbits, birds (one of which is hiding in the house right now 'cause the cat brought it in and it got away......) and lots and lots of flowers so i don't have to go far to get beautiful models
