Description
With the few version-exclusive Fakemon I've posted so far all being either legendaries or Ultra Beasts, I felt it was high time I designed some regular version-exclusives. This particular pair was inspired by a line from a song I like, which I'll reveal when I post their evolutions. Unless someone correctly guesses the song before then, that is. Anyway, I came up with the second stages of each first, and designed the first stage accordingly. Both lines would be somewhat challenging to get in a hypothetical game, with the first stages in out-of-the-way locations and the second stages being catchable in a sidequest, but well worth the effort, with the second stages having stats on par with Volcarona.

The Abysmol line dwells deep underwater, and is fittingly exclusive to Depths. The designs for them gelled pretty quickly compared to their counterparts. Kinda helps that a pistol shrimp is practically a Pokemon already. Combining that with a demon goat was pretty fun. The unusual combination really helps distinguish it from the Clauncher line, although I think I strayed a bit towards Corphish territory. That's fine, though - the evolution is going to take the demonic aesthetic and run with it. I'll be working on the counterpart's second stage first, but then I'll complete this line. I'll definitely be streaming at least part of the process, so tune in for that!

*Boiling Point: The Pokemon's Fire- and Water-type moves do not have their power reduced by rain/sun respectively.
