I've been waiting to post this, mostly as a favor to the original artist who I requested a few years ago.
Since 1998, Mystical Ninja's Yae has been one of my favorite fun characters. She's a ninja, a mermaid, has a bazooka, and is cute. What's not to like? Yet, it seems like there's not as much love for her as there might be in Japan. Plus, there haven't been many Mystical Ninja games since 2005. Hence, no fan art.

After such a long wait, Blaz was kind enough to draw it for a reasonable rate. The original idea I had (quite frankly, was forgotten) but I remembered the archway and thought that'd be a good place for a mermaid to take a break while checking on her bazooka. This is what the image became, and I'm very happy with it.

Yae deserves more games, as far as I'm concerned. I picture a shoot 'em up style game ala Galaga or something where she's swimming and shooting the bazooka. Not sure why. Just thought that'd be cool.
