I loaded the photo into Easy Paint Tool SAI and made a new layer and set the mode to luminosity.
Then I drew the tears in white with a very thin pen, then went over it with a thin eraser and made the lines even thinner.

I haven't gotten to actually re-making him because I don't know how to do oto.inis. I had a friend make his because I couldn't.
I've figured out flags and stuff to try and make him sound better for the time being.

I don't think you should constantly compare your work to someone else's. It may be rather hard, I know, but it seems like doing that is really tearing you limb from limb. Bainari's fine and I don't really see a need to change him. But if you feel like you should change his voice then by all means, go ahead. I think all of his fans would love Bainari no matter what.

I'm sorry to say this but I'm not sure there's anything I can do in this situation. He is your Utau and as much as I would love to help, there's not much I can do. All I can say is that whatever you change him to, I'll love Bainari the same and I'll try and help if I can.
If you need help changing him to something you'd like, perhaps consult with the person who creates the male Utaus that you like. That's all I can say. Sorry.
