The edges of their lips curled upward and a low chuckle bubbled in their throat. Smiles were supposed to be things of joy, but Teritzel's smile send a cold chill down Aina's spine. Clinching her hands into fists at her side, she tried to hold her resolve and hide her fear. It wasn't a joke nor a lie, the world was beautiful. After meeting different people and facing challenges that tested her body and soul, Aina knew that mankind was not heartless. Even in the darkest of places there was beauty and light.

Teritzel's laughter stopped and they took a step forward. "The world is darkness. We are stuck in a swirling cyclone of obsidian. It wraps around anything good and smothers the light. The only way to survive the night is to embrace the darkness."

Aina furrowed her brows and looked up to them with a wry smile. "That's true. The sky painters taught me that without darkness we could never see the sparkle of the stars. That's how I came to realize the Night is not evil. Just...misunderstood."
