I love this! The art style and shading are excellent! The two characters also share a close resemblance to two of my own focal characters in the story I'm writing (although they're father and daughter, and the father is a little less fit xD), so it makes it even more awesome for me.

For some reason I get a good chuckle outta this image I must admit. There's something entertaining about the contrast of this little bedraggled girl and her burly uncle carrying her outta the surf.
It gives me a few ideas I must admit.

Firstly,
Your skill as an artist are incomparable. The quality of your illustrations and paintings take my breath away. I have not had a single complaint other than your men are too good, too gorgeous, to exist in reality. I can take that trade-off. This image meets your standard save in one respect.
The animated, cartoony style of the child is inconsistent with the hyper-realistic nature of the central figure. The difference in style is so jarring as to yank me completely out of the composition. The child is fine on an individual basis. It is the juxtaposition of "cartoon/comic book" style and hyper-realism that throws me. Because of the latter, the former looks "unfinished." If there was a way to bring the two images styles into sync this image would be on my wall. I appreciate the care and work that goes into your illustrations. It is a joy when I see your latest illustration. Thank you for sharing!
