I like the earthy look...makes me think of fossils preserved over the ages, the seasons....

Makes me think of a windtunnel sitated inside a copper tube. Great textures and color management. One of the cool things visually with this is that you get the illusion of the blades cutting/sheering the background.

Thanks. The blades were actually the first thing I worked with. From there it was adding textures and the last was color adjusting things to smooth it all out. It's also one of a very small amount in my gallery that has masking and mapping mixed together.

I do love the sense of depth in his piece. The way it seems to swirl around the viewer's head is incredibly interesting as well. A good metaphor of the never-ending cycles of life.

Bingo! The bulk of comments were about weather, but it's about how things seem to never change and always come around again. Thank you very much.

Love the colours and shapes.
It was most effective for me when it was first loading and still above the nexus, I'd love to see a re-crop of this that excludes everything but the top two silver "bars" and the associated reds.
That beign said... beautiful as always.

Thanks. It's an eight bladed fan in the entirety so there's not much beyond what is shown. I tinkered around with this idea but couldn't quite get something framed properly. It was a very difficult formula, probably the most difficult I've ever used so I used a kaleidescope mapping on it just to get the fans into it.

It is a stunning piece, and my comment wasn't so much a "not this way" as a "what about this way" sort of thing. Your hard work definately has paid off.

The sense of true 3-dimensional plasticity is just astounding. I also love the somewhat monumental feel of it.

Thanks, Elly. Very difficult image so I used a lot of different techniques.
