Commander (one of many) He was only recently promoted to a commander position mostly because he did too much for the army to keep the label of a simple soldier. Emiris is a rather bad example of a commander because he's quite pathetic at telling people what to do and spends most of his military time being ordered around by Deamond or the other generals and commanders.
As a Commander, Emiris usually ends up doing everyone else paperwork for them and has made sure that his name does not appear in any of the Arean army registries. Anyone that has heard of him knows him by the name Commander Stormhael but most likely has never seen him before. He keeps an enigmatic profile in order to keep suspicions away from himself so that he can continue spying on the other factions easily.
Recently Emiris has become a member of Ares’s sub army, Specter. As all others he keeps this a complete secret except for to the other members and Mikhail (because he found out anyways). Aside from a new outfit and people to have fun with, his daily duties haven’t really changed all that much and he’s still usually busy with paperwork and deliveries.

Weapon:
Twin swords/Great sword (The two swords connect together into one.)
Bladed Rings: (shown above) Emir doesn’t use these too often, but they’re simple bladed rings on leather strips that hang from his waist. Since his fighting style consists of a lot of spinning these rings become an extra annoyance to whoever he’s fighting and he can also give them elemental buffs like his swords.

Abilities:
Main: Expert in dual weapons with an emphasis in twin blades. He’s had a century of training as a bodyguard and is highly skilled in various weapons, mostly dual weapons, as well as martial arts. His emphasis is in speed/reflexes and agility and he’s generally faster than other Guardian Angels. However, he’s below average in size and his strength and defense are lower.
Magic: Magic is used as an assist to his blade work and job as a bodyguard and he rarely ever uses it otherwise. His strongest element is fire and he knows a wide variety of other spells (mostly defensive) like all other Guardians, but he’d never be able to hold his own in a magic fight against a skilled mage using only magic. When asked about how much he knows he usually just replies with “Enough for domestic purposes.”
Healing: More skilled than his attack magic, he can heal flesh wounds, organ damage and broken bones. Healing sickness and reattaching limbs is impossible for him, he doesn’t have near enough energy to complete the process effectively. (He can heal a stab wound in the stomach, but he can’t put your arm back on if it gets lopped off.)

Personality: He’s generally relaxed, happy, and quick to laugh but recent events have caused him to become withdrawn and really quiet/shy. He’s not comfortable with the Arean environment and people and generally doesn’t like talking to others. (He doesn’t talk much at all.) This is more because he doesn’t want people asking about him than him not liking them. He likes to watch other people in order try and understand the culture better though.
After finding Kel and all the other crap that’s happened to him in the past few months, Emiris is slowly reverting to how he used to be. His mannerisms are a lot more relaxed and open to others and he’s much quicker to laugh and joke around with people. He’s still got some sensitive topics that he’d rather not talk about and still blames himself for things that caused people close to him to get hurt, but he’s accepted that he can’t change the fact they happened and is instead trying to make it up to them how he can. He’s also realized that he’d been trying to replace Evah for Kel and because of it was hurting both of them. Now he’s simply going to try and be himself the best he can while continuing to remain anonymous to the general population. You’ll have to become like family to him to see his playful side, but once you are he’s more than happy to show it to you.

History: Emiris lived in Earthra for a little over 132 years and has only recently moved to Ares where he feels completely out of place.
First home: As a young Guardian he lived the basic lifestyle of his race within the secluded village of Earthra as he was trained to be a bodyguard. Alongside combat and medical training he also had basic schooling in general studies that were mostly related to Earthra, some of Caelius and very little of Ares. Emiris excelled in both and passed his final tests with top marks and only these two side notes: 1. Slightly low strength and defense, but makes up for it with speed. 2. Very gentle and soft, would not recommend brash or impulsive partners.
Guardians do not have “blood relatives” in a sense and the entire village is their siblings. This makes it easier for them to adopt their partner’s family as their own.
Second home: Emiris’s first partner was a human girl named Evah Mauss and he bonded to her when she was only 8 months old. It was mostly because of his gentleness that he was chosen for her since her parents wanted someone who could protect her, but who was also genuinely compassionate. Emiris was able to adopt into the family easily and adored Evah as they became like close siblings. (Evah’s parents would always tell others they had two kids.) Evah was quite the spirited girl and was loved by everyone in her town. She was constantly helping everyone out with big smiles and a perky attitude. When Caelius and Ares returned to Zion both Emiris and Evah were excited to be able to see the lands and races of legend. Emiris because Caelius was the original homeland of the Guardian Angels and the ones in Earthra still favor Caeulius even though they are technically neutral. Evah was more excited to see the people of Ares since they seemed to have rather unfavorable reputations, but she felt that was ridiculous and wanted to see what they were really like. Everything was generally normal as their town continued to remain peaceful despite the renewed war. Many different races from either faction traveled through the town and the citizens welcomed them openly. Evah continued to befriend everyone, Caelius and Ares alike, as she didn’t believe anyone was inherently evil. Somewhere along the way she had also become close friends when a demon of Ares, most likely during a trip to Ares with her father.
In the middle of the year AoC 4 the peaceful lives of the citizens came to an end. Evah was 26 and was falsely accused of breaking the laws of Caelius and a large group of Caeliusians had been sent to arrest her. Somewhere the proceedings went wrong and a fight occurred between the group from Caelius and those trying to protect Evah. By the end of this battle the entire group from Caelius and many of the sympathizers were dead along with Evah. Emiris and the demon Evah had befriended would have been included in the death count if Evah hadn’t saved their lives before she died. Sometime during the years Evah had found out that the main reason unbounded guardians were so heavily protected was because they could save someone’s life by bonding with them if they were dying from wound or illness. This is because the energy that makes the bond is the same as powerful healing magic. So in order to save Emiris’ and the demon’s life, Evah forced Emiris to bond with the demon by cupping her hand to Emiris’ cheek moments before she died. Her hand was covered in the demon’s blood and her thumb was over Emiris’ mouth. This inevitably labeled Emiris as a Fallen Guardian because Guardian Angels are forbidden from bonding with the demons of Ares.
Emiris never met the demon Evah had become friends with so he has no idea who he is currently bonded to. There’s a very slim chance that the demon even knows they now have a guardian either. Now, Emiris works as a delivery boy and is part of the Arean army while he tries to find his partner. He’s not quite sure how either of these jobs happened, but he doesn’t mind them.
After finally finding Kel, he and Emir got off to a rough start and their interactions could be described as tense and forced at best. Emiris held a lot of information about Guardians and himself from Kel because he was worried at first that Kel would reject him, and then that Kel would blame himself for Emiris not being able to run around freely without worrying about people trying to kidnap him for a reward. After all, it wasn’t anyone’s fault that Kel was Arean and it was thoughts like that that had started such a large scale war.
Eventually Emiris couldn’t avoid people figuring out that he was Fallen and after a kidnapping attempt that turned into an attempted murder, Emiris was reunited with Miuriel, his brother who was closest to him in age and who was the only other Guardian who knew he was still alive. With Miuriel and Kilik’s help he was able to smooth things over just a little with Kel, but he was still hiding things from him. Shortly after that Emiris was kidnapped once again, this time by Monidium who wanted to use him to trade for an ancient book the Guardians were keepers of. During the ordeal many others from all factions were dragged into the battle and injured and after a battle with Monidium, Kel was dealt a blow that should have killed him. However, although his heart stopped and the link between him and Emiris was severed, his life was spared after Emiris, Miuriel and the Earthran Seraphim and close sibling of the two Guardians, Mikhail, used their magic to restart his heart. Mikhail fulfilled Monidium’s wish and gave him an encoded copy of the book he sought before taking everyone to a secluded resort in the Berge Mountains. There everything that Emiris had kept hidden as well as some things Emiris doesn’t know were explained to Kel by Mikhail and he and Emiris were allowed to rebond with the Seraphims protection.

Extra facts:
Emiris has a great dislike for Caelius. He feels they have become so absorbed in their rules and ideas of justice that they have forgotten to have compassion and mercy. Recently though his hatred for them has lessened significantly and while he’s still bitter towards them it’s only towards Helia and those with closed minds.
He’s become much more comfortable with wearing clothes that aren’t completely covering him. Now it’s more of a matter of personal preference in how much skin he’s showing than him trying to hide his marks/features.
Like his wings, Emir still doesn’t like people touching his horns, but he’s gotten more accustomed to them and the time he’d had without them felt odd to him.
His swords were given to him when he passed his two tests and before he met Evah. When not being used they shrink into a pendant he wears around his neck along with a piece of a necklace that Evah gave him. His swords won’t work for anyone other than him.
He’s quite comfortable in Ares by now but still doesn’t like talking to strangers much. Most of the time he’ll avoid meeting new people if he can.

Brother: Miuriel Lecthel : At only 2 years older than Emir, Miuriel is Emiris’s closest sibling in age and they grew up together. Emir wishes Miur would stop trying so hard to please others and just be himself because that’s who he likes best and doesn’t see anything wrong with it.
Uncle: Kilik Diaden : As Miur’s charge, Emir naturally liked Kilik right off because he made Miur happy.
Older Brother: Mikhail Ceril : Even though Mikhail is one of Earthra’s Seraphim, he and Emir are super close and Emir has adopted a few of Mikhail’s traits. (Like his strange ability of knowing more than people think he should.) Emir trusts Mikhail wholly and is one of the few people who know Mikhail’s age and entire past. He’ll never speak of it though, and just pretends he doesn’t know anything.
Present Charge: Arekel : Emir was scared of Kel at first because of everything he’d heard about Arean charges. He was constantly surprised at how kind Kel was and used to think it was just an act. After Kel protected him though Emir has adopted Kel as his big brother and while he’s still adjusting to the difference between the two charges he’s accepted who Kel is and has stopped trying to change him.

Others:
Sandro : One of the only Arean higher-ups Emir has met, Sandro tends to bring out his more mischievous and teasing side as he enjoys making up logical excuses to justify skipping work with him. Emir is a bit intimidated by Sandro since he is his superior and he doesn’t want to get in trouble, but he also likes seeing the Necromancer’s calm/kinder side and loves giving him the candy he randomly gets.
Louka : With a stiff Commander/Soldier relationship at first, Emir didn’t really have an opinion about Louka until Caelians attacked him and Sandro on Arean territory and Ariel was gravely injured. Without much words and giving Emir a shoulder to cry on, Louka earned Emir’s affection and though he hasn’t actually said it yet he’s come to see the incubus as another older brother.
Ariel : As a human girl who was kind to everyone and constantly helping him, Emir first saw Ariel as a harsh reminder of Evah and always felt guilty around her. Yet as he saw more and more of her personality as herself he came to realize how different the two girls were and came to appreciate Ariel for herself. As one of the few people he considers an older sibling, Emir enjoys being in Ariel’s company and never feels he has to appear strong or hide his problems from her. He only wishes he could help her as much as she helps him, but has realized he’s probably not the one she needs for this.
Sasha : One of the few Caelians Emir actually really likes; Sasha was one of the ones that helped him soften his opinion on that faction. Though not certain yet, Sasha is dangerously close to being considered a little sister to Emir.
Adhil : A compassionate and hardworking Commander, Emir has a lot of affection and care for Adhil, but he’s also terrified that the boy will lose his life for him if he gets too close.
Mavis : Emir doesn’t really know what to think of Mavis. Every time he turns around she seems to be there but he’s never really had the chance to talk to her. He finds her presence reassuring though as she’s proven more than once that she’s more than capable of taking care of herself as well as helping others.

Because his race is of Caelian origin it is most likely that Caelians will recognize his race and know a little about them. Earthrans will too, but not as much. It's pretty rare for an Arean to know about Guardians though.

Yet as he saw more and more of her personality as herself he came to realize how different the two girls were and came to appreciate Ariel for herself. As one of the few people he considers an older sibling, Emir enjoys being in Ariel’s company and never feels he has to appear strong or hide his problems from her. He only wishes he could help her as much as she helps him, but has realized he’s probably not the one she needs for this.
Sasha : One of the few Caelians Emir actually really likes; Sasha was one of the ones that helped him soften his opinion on that faction. Though not certain yet, Sasha is dangerously close to being considered a little sister to Emir.
Adhil : A compassionate and hardworking Commander, Emir has a lot of affection and care for Adhil, but he’s also terrified that the boy will lose his life for him if he gets too close.
Mavis : Emir doesn’t really know what to think of Mavis. Every time he turns around she seems to be there but he’s never really had the chance to talk to her. He finds her presence reassuring though as she’s proven more than once that she’s more than capable of taking care of herself as well as helping others.

Because his race is of Caelian origin it is most likely that Caelians will recognize his race and know a little about them. Earthrans will too, but not as much. It's pretty rare for an Arean to know about Guardians though.
