Personality: Mikoto is sly, mischievous, and playful. He loves to have fun, sometimes at the expense of other people’s dignities (often his friend, Basil). He loves to dance, which tends to annoy the more serious priests. Despite his fun-loving attitude, he takes his duties as a priest-in-training very seriously. He also has a gentle side, seen when dealing with younger kids and tending his garden. Mikoto has a secret obsession with dancing, often getting entranced and swept up by the music. Bright, sunny days make him hyper and even more prone to singing and dancing.

History: Mikoto grew up in Sky Village, the son of a kimono-maker. His mother put him in training as a priest at the age of 5, under Priestess Laurel’s (npc) care. It was then that he met her son, Basil, and the two became fast and close friends. At the age of 8, he and Basil were playing at Laurel’s house, when the house caught fire. The two were trapped inside, until Laurel found them and pulled them out. Both boys have a fear of fire. Mikoto was often picked on by other kids as an Oddish and stalked him as a Gloom, so he can be somewhat withdrawn around strangers.

• He’s never fully awake until around 10 or so, when the sun’s completely up.
• It’s hard for him to stay awake during early morning prayers.
• Because of his non-offensive ‘attacks’, he trains with Ofuda.
• His mentor is Laurel, Basil’s mother.
• He has wonderful calligraphy skills.
• He performs (i.e. sings and dances) for his flowers, to make them grow stronger.
• He wishes he had a little brother or sister.
