Description With my new lens (Canon EF 50mm f2.5) I decided to test it and took some pictures of flowers at my friend's yard. I took a bunch of them that came out good. I really like this macro lens.

Tell me what you think

Well I don't like the lens BUT when you know how to use it and put up with all the annoying-ness (I know it's not a word lol) you can get some good results (like the one you're commenting on) I'm not really sure if I wanna bring it back or not... What should I do? I really like Macro and it gets good results... but it's a pain in the ass... I don't think the 1.8 can get great macros. Great portraits yeah but not macros...

Really nice shot, the calm green and blurry background makes this shot nice and calm looking, The red really pops out,
as well as the incredible sharp little hairs on it! Great shot!

Thanks, I noticed red and green are complimentary colors so I just HAD to get that shot! It's extra sharp too because I sharpened it a little. But the new Macro lens that I got really works

Well it's kind of a toyish lens... Plus I paid $300 for it... for a lens it's cheap... but for me it's impossible to afford lol

ah well, it does the job very well still, and the best lens in the world won't help an startingphotographer out better then an average one, i mean, driving a suzuki or a ferarri won't make that much difference if it's your first car, BUT, i would prefer the ferarri without a doubt

oh, yeah, i know photos is just like this, i was thinking in dutch: Foto's
thanks for correcting me on that

Haha I guess you're right, but the lens will still get better results even if you don't exactly know how to use it. Unless you're really that bad But I think I'll keep mine since I wanna get more into macro photography. It's not as bad as I was making it sound. I'd love a frikkin' Ferrari man!

Oh yeah I keep forgetting you're Dutch Man I used to speak Dutch before... fluently. Now I lost it all

Hey do you have a Facebook? (Can't remember if I asked you that question or not)

nope, not reallt my cup of tea, collecing friend like there stamps(thats how many people here think of all those social networks, 1 or 2 is fine, not 10 like many people got, hell i cant even remember all passwords and stuff that way..

ahhh, well, i find american english much more interessting then dutch anyway

Haha it's true I know some people who collect friends like stamps (that's a good analogy btw), but I just like to have a place where I can network with everyone I know. So far Facebook's been great because I can keep in touch with the majority of my friends on a daily basis, even on the go

American is funny. Dutch is simply different but I think it's a weird language, like the Dutch are very "unique" I can't quite describe it right. Like how you say "I love you" which is 'Ik hou van jou" is kinda creepy ahahaha I'm just teasing ya

Yeah I know! I have this way of exagerrating the Flemish accent when saying that sentence that makes it completely horrific

Americans do have different dialects. The stereotypical one is usually the southern one which is really exagerrated and stupid in my opinion. Then there's the Chicago and LA one which is similar to each other with some Ghetto to it. NY also has ghetto but the accent is simply a bit different. U no wat im sayiiin'? Hahaha

Thanks! That's because of the macro lens I used, it's pretty sharp. Not to mentioned I also sharpened the image XD
