Hi there admx. Overall is whimsical & dynamic filled with bright & cheery colors and It represents as "save the trees" or "Smile It's Spring" because of magenta color with yellow smudge in my own opinion. At first glance, I can see now there's a happy face with a red rose (heart) in pink background at single stare for some reason. Cute optical illusion! It would be worhty on a mug, t-shirts, posters and or embellishments.
One more thing, I can see also there's a cheery expression of Elmo's happy face abstract!

Well done again on this piece; as I said before, it would look good on a T-shirt and reminds me of a sort of Hawaii beach vision. The texture of the canvas works beautifully with the detail on the trees and the blending of the colours in the background makes the picture more dynamic and pretty. Although you see a lot of this sort of thing about, you've made it personal to your style with the heart in a box, which makes the image less traditional and more contemporary and funky. Personally I feel like the image needs 'sealing' around the edges which unfortunately the yellow doesn't give- perhaps a black border would make it pop out more?

Yellow and Purple are great complimentary colors though I agree that the placement/treatment of the yellow looks more haphazard and less purposeful - the yellow can be a great push pull color since our eye wants to read it as something very close to the viewer- putting it behind pushes the object closer and placing it in front obviously will do the opposite. At the moment you have the pinks/purples/blues placed between yellows so it reads a little oddly with the black wanting to push all the way to the back. I think if the black had just a hint more of yellow tons it would really pop and feel more dimensional.

well, DA chat wasn't letting me add my critique there so, i just wanted to say i love the colors and the trees are wonderful. the only thing that i would of done different is the harshness around the box w/ the heart in it. everything seems so light and flowing then there's this big box w/ a heart in it that takes from everything and adds a coldness to it.

Lovely use of colours, it looks so dreamy indeed! I would advice to (next time) add a little shadow in the black of the island as well, since the dreamy atmosphere is showing depth, but the island not so much.

I love everything about it. I love the subliminal messages that can be freely interpreted. Wonderful choice in colors with the black silhouette. And the random brush strokes add sooo much character. I'm envious.
