Loki, what hope is there for Thor?I was so tempted to add more detail than there is for this digital painting referenced from a screenshot, like much longer lashes or hair. And, inadvertently, I made him look more saddened & closer to tears than he was in that scene, showing no emotions that might betray his real feelings while sitting at The Allfather's bedside listening to his mother, because of the shinier, this time light green eyes.

Oh Wow! that really captures the look and the thought, "what hope is there for Thor?" and "I never wanted the throne'. Those eyes full of sadness make me want to cry every time I see them, you have captured them perfectly!
I love all "stages" of Loki, but his baby-faced innocence before it all goes to hell are very dear to me. Even though he has short hair in this movie eheheh

I love how he looks there, though I DO prefer (him with) long/er hair. And true, everything went to shot after that. Had the I4 awaited his orders, none of it had happened.

Ugh.. Now you've made me remember that scene and the one in the weapon's vault.. Seriously, Tom is such an amazing actor, I don't know why he only really boomed when "Thor" came out. The way he portrays his characters just blows me away. That moment in Thor was when he was talking with the All-Father.. the grief and confusion that he showed were so tangible it made my chest hurt the first time I saw it. Honest. And I wasn't even totally hooked on him at that time. I don't mean to over exaggerate his performance but... it's just perfection for me. His eyes speak so much and the expressions that he puts on seem so heartfelt. *sigh I hope that man knows that there truly are NO MEN LIKE HIM. ;u; thank you for sharing this~

Agree on all you say. I noticed Tom in Wallander already a few yrs earlier, & thought to keep an eye on him right there, though his blond self wasn't quite my type. But he was magnetic & that voice, seriously. And I love his pestered Magnus. I watched all he did before & after, all the interviews, everything he narrated, but when he came out with his Loki, oh my, now THAT was I was waiting for. Tall dark & more than handsome & sexy. The rest is history I couldn't escape either, Loki had me in his grip too in one fell swoop. I started making a few manips before I went into full-out painting just for fun, & later decided to post my stuff here & continued on a weekly base, really. And with all the lovely pics coming out every now & then I'll never dry up on material! Huzzah.
