Riki, (my Akita shown in the picture above) has to wear a muzzle too because he's aggressive. Although it's not a rule to put a muzzle on him where I live, but it's still sad to see him with it when I take him to the vet, groomers, etc.
I strongly dislike how people think my dog is going to 'kill' them or 'hate' people. He's just too protective of me and my family; which is sweet of him to be our guard dog. With the family he's really sweet! He cuddles, gives kisses and gets excited when I come home.

akita's are very loyal, beautiful dogs. it is a pity that they must wear a muzzle here... my dad knows a person who has a german shepherd and they had to muzzle the dog because he's on the "dangerous dog" list, and he's meant to be a complete pussy cat!
it is sad that they have to be muzzled. it isn't done out of cruelty, but it is sad to see dogs like that.
