Here's a new WIP. This is actually the first time I've done a WIP during the sketch phase, but it'll be color when I'm finished. Finishing it is a long way off though, this sketch isn't even half done. It's actually two sheets of paper(9x12) worth of artwork, and each page will have quite a bit going on.

It is an Alice in Wonderland piece, and it's for a contest my school recently alerted me too. Being a fan of the story, and always willing to try to win some cash(and a possible internship) I decided to give it a shot, and not hold back! So hopefully the final product will be an eye pleaser.

Edit_1: Hatter says, "The cake is a lie, but the tea is not."

Edit_2: The Queen of Hearts says, "Bring her to me, I'll take her head myself!"

Edit_3: The Cheshire cat says, "I see you!"

Edit_4: Inked the lines. Also, I beat the crap out of my scanner for being stupid, and taking me an hour to get the image on my computer.

Edit_5: Began adding base colors. 41 layers and counting, this is going to be one memory draining piece.

Edit_6: Finished base colors, and began adding details. Oh, and I have not slept. Not one wink. I was in the zone and simply couldn't be bothered. This image is now over 90mb, and has broken the 50 layer mark~!

Edit_7: More details added. I struggled a bit with this one, had some crashes and other problems. This image is about four times the size of what you see here, with about 60 layers now, so it's a complete memory drain and takes almost ten full minutes to save. Ah well, it's getting close to finished, hopefully the next time you see this image, I'll have completed it. For now, though, I'm off to see Ponyo.
