Munkustrap from the musical CATS.This is a remake of a drawing I did a long, long time ago, when I first started drawing. It wasn't a technically good drawing, but I loved the emotion in it.
I'm not sure I like this version better than the old one. It's not better, just... different. I found the anatomy flaws on the old one sort of charming, so I didn't correct them.
Anyway. I was a huge fan of CATS when I was younger. It was this obsession that got me into drawing in the first place. So I guess I owe it a lot. The first 100-somewhat drawings I did, was all CATS. Happy times!
Size 19 x 17 cm, pencils 2H - 4B + mechanical. About 3 hours.

It doesn't run on Broadway or London anymore, but it does tour every now and then. I've only seen it on DVD, never real life...

Thanks! I've never quite got the whole principe behind drawing fur either. I just sketched it down like a kid with a pencil. But it seems to work fine. Hehe, sometimes the easies is the best.
