This is a tribute to the little gray and white kitty who I found outside of my apartment yesterday afternoon. I wasn't able to save her life, so I wanted to draw this image of her sleeping peacefully...

Backstory:
We've had some blizzards in the US, and Oklahoma is one of the states that was hit. The temperature was well below freezing from Monday night until yesterday (Saturday). I found a tiny gray and white kitty freezing outside of my apartment... She was lying on her side in the snow, so weak that the first moment I looked at her I thought she had already died, but she mustered a meow when I walked by... She had a collar but no tags, so I wrapped her in a towel and carried her from door to door trying to find her owner or at least someone that might have recognized her.

I never did find the owner, and no one I talked to had even seen her before. In the end I took her to an animal emergency, hoping that she was microchipped, but she was not She was in really terrible condition by the time I had found her in the first place, and when the vet looked at her he told me she was also a very old cat, around 11 or 12 years old. He said she'd need really intensive care to stay alive, but that it was a long shot that she'd really make it.

We decided it would be best if I let her be put to sleep... I just really didn't want to put her back in the cold to suffer alone anymore. In the very least she can rest now.
