Thank you very much I didn't think it would turn out good, as the tiger was pacing up and down and the window was dirty with fingermarks.

You managed to catch the tiger without obvious marks AND without glass reflection. You probably have a *shutter finger*.

Thank you Rettie. I think it could have been better if I hadn't had to photograph it through the dirty window. However, if we didn't have the window, then we wouldn't be able to get this close to him.

In our Rotterdam Zoo there are many glass windows, and indeed, sometimes hard to take pictures because they are so dirty! But being so close to a wild animal is so special.
I remember being in a zoo in the south of France. hat was the first time I saw tigers playing and swimming in the water on the other side of the glass window! I was using my video camera, but at the time we saw the tigers the battery was empty, so I took some pictures of them. (analog camera)

After years of going to the zoo, this is also the first time that I have seen the tiger so close to the public. Usually he is asleep in the shade at the back of his enclosure.
