I composed using the technique in the tutorial (link is in the artist comments); I guess I had this shot in mind so set the scene up and gently encouraged the smoke in the right direction.

Stunning! It really always is. I love the combinations of colors in this one and how it's more distinct and focused in the bottom and gets softer farther up. Very nice.
