Description
Going up from the underground parking lot. I kinda love lifts. They always seem to have fancy ceilings and tend to be too dark.I like the way it came out.
Location: Lodz, Poland
Camera: Canon EOS 1N RS
Lens: my old broken Canon 35/2 (only MF, in AF camera hangs up, but as the AF/MF switch is broken, you're never really sure if you're gonna make it)
Film: Kodak ProFoto 400 BW
Scan: negscan at a lab, Noritsu machine
No crop, no adjustments.

yeah, i got a TTL and a 12xp. i also have two Helioses 58/2, plus a 200/4 Jupiter, a 35-105/3.5 Porst, a 300/4 Orestegor and finally a 500/8 mirror MTO

well, i guess it's beacuse of the non-existig market for the photography equipment
sounds stupid perhapse, but unfortunately it is so...i even have dificulties in buying films, not to mention other prodacts...of course, you can buy digicams in every corner, but analog vanished almost completely from this country.anoying really.people are laughing and pointing at you when you photograph outside on street with your zenits, or even worse zorkis ( i do have one and kiev too, but never going out with it anymore ), or with any other robust analog camera...sad
however, i would like to buy some kind of zoom lens for my zenits, if they exist at all...

sure - check this out - [link] - a lot of M42 type lenses. among them a few zooms. i personally have a Porst 35-105/3.5 MC Macro. Very nice. Though i would prefer a 28-80/2.8 or something like this, but i don't think such lenses were ever made for M42. Surely not Russian, maybe German or Japanese (Pentax).
oh, Polish zloty is about 0.35 dollars or 0.25 Euro more or less.
yes, i do have Zorki, Fed and Kiev, my fiance has a Pentacon Six. it's actually very fashionable to shoot with such cameras here... all art students use Zenits, Holgas and Lomos... I think Holgas and Lomos are complete shit (tho ~lobegrinder did a very nice job with his Holga), but Zenits were always something better. i hope you also know - [link] - this site.

Yeah it's kind of funny, imagine your camera not having automatic focusing when you have to be very quick

I couldn't take pics if that were the case. My camera can be set to allow me to take control, but I don't know enough about taking photos to feel confident using all the features myself. I let the camera do the thinking mostly. I enjoy taking pictures, but I suck at photography.
