I have been burnt before
Of no doubt do I have
But this time is so much worse
First degree over third

I used to daydream constantly
And wish to hold them in my arms
When these were crushed I caved
But it was only a dream anyway

When I met reality
No longer just when I closed my eyes
I felt you hold me back
Until the day you were gone

Crippled now not crushed
There will be no standing up
Never any redemption
Just this empty sick inside
