I felt in the mood to draw my favourite DC fan pairing, enjoying a night out only to be interrupted by gun wielding thugs about to make an error...With Power girl appearing in Harley Quinn as the correct version with no explanation given ( or really needed ) and the quantum energy powered Captain Atom returning ( look up the 'Fall and Rise of Captain Atom' miniseries, the writer seems to be making Cap usable again for other writers, which is great, odd thing is Cap is now blonde haired in his flesh form rather than grey/white, not that it really matters ), i'm paying attention to DC once more.
When i finished this i realised that visually the pair could easily pass for Marvels Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel and Steve Rogers/Captain America.

Yep, Cap has been married twice in the 1987-2011 DCU, his first wife died and his second ex-wife was a super powered Canadian separatist terrorist and mercenary. Since 2011's reboot Cap has been married but again his wife died, so a relationship at some point with Karen would be fine, so keep shipping 
I agree, i think Steve and Carol could work well together, but as far as i know, no writer seems to have considered it.

Little late, I know but in a What If comic from a while back there WAS a bit of a Steve/Carol shipping going on. Basically the plot being if the heroes got stuck on Battleworld after Secret Wars and made a life there, while Carol wasn't part of that due to being in a coma due to Rogue at the time in that comic Carol's personality and memories ended up resurfacing and permanently supplanting Rogue's, Xavier believing it may have had to do with Rogue's long latent guilt over what happened with absorbing Carol's powers. Rogue effectively dead,and Carol kind of back so to speak, she eventually hooked up with Steve and had a daughter.... It was WEIRD set up for a ship, but it happened.

I know Stargirl is his only canon pairing but I don't know her well enough to write her IC.

Now this is really sweet.
Been trying follow Powergirl in the DC "Earth 2: Society", it's difficult having a convoluted plotline with very few appearances by PeeGee, and with dual suns, red and yellow, she can only operate in the yellow daytime; she's already fallen out of the sky at least once fighting the bad guys when the red sun came up and drained her power and she had to be caught by another superheroine (I think it may have been Hawkgirl).
It's a really messed up series about the Earth-2 heroes who have been transported to a world they have to terraform, and fight off baddies while they're at it. I'm not too fond of the idea of keeping (and demeaning) one of DC's premiere characters in an alternate universe because the "powers-that-be" at DC don't think a beautiful, busty superheroine is "politically correct" for today's comic fans. She needs her own series, where she can be the Powergirl that you have (thankfully) preserved for us fanboys here on dA. Keep doing her, my friend!

As far as i can tell from Power Girl's most recent guest appearance in Harley Quinn ( with Atlee also guest appearing ), The character in the Earth 2 Society comics is no longer meant to be the main DCU Power Girl, so she can stay in Earth 2.
It looks as though the classic Power Girl has been allowed to slip through the cracks of continuity once more and is as she was in her 2009/2010 series, still living in New York ( hence the crossover with Harley, now also based in New York ).

Wow (to say the least). Well, if she at least turns up in the Harley series, I guess that's best we can expect. It just seems like such a forced coupling of a hero and a villain for comedy purposes. DC has really decided to ignore the character and leave it that way. I really hate DC with a passion.

Wow... she looks really good in regular clothes.
(And half of the comics multiverse could pass for Steve Rogers or Henry Pym. My friend and I had a running joke of that's the reason why Wasp's marriage was so rocky, when guys like Aquaman are hopping universes for a night with her...
