Kidnapped and brainwashed by the nefarious organisation called 'The House', teamates Captain Atom and Mary Marvel are forced into a berserk state and battle each other with the intention to kill the other. Unable to access his will enabled abilities the Captain is beaten into the ground by the powerful youngsters relentless assault. Is this the end for Nathaniel Adam ? Will this beating by a Superpowered 16 year old haunt the former Justice League leader due to video recordings hitting Youtube ? Will the team be able to find a replacement for him ?

A mock cover based on a scene from the enjoyable 2003 comic "Formerly Known as Justice League" where former Justice league members Captain Atom, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Fire, Elongated Man, and Sue Dibny are brought back together by Maxwell lord with the new and quite welcome addition of Mary Marvel.

( Captain Atoms abilities are increased by his focus, he can increase his powerlevels through concentration -like a character from Dragonball Z in some respects-, rob him of that and he is left at his -still formidable- base level, but below the Kryptonian powerclass he can normally measure up to and at times surpass. So i have no problem with Mary beating Cap like she did since it was purely down to the situation, and after all Superman has been knocked out by 2 punches from her brother Captain Marvel )

( Mary Marvel is the sister of DC's Captain Marvel, and was one of DC's characters who possessed a charmingly sweet and innocent nature and loved being a superhero, and like her brother, was firmly in the Kryptonian powerclass but powered by magic. Disappointingly after her time in the humorous 'Formerly Known as Justice League' comic, throughout the 2000's writers/editors/whoever, seemed intent on making her more 'edgy' or 'badass' in the most ill thought out ways they could, which resulted in her being recharacterised as a tediously stroppy superpowered teenager. )
