Description
This is a landing type pad i have made for my eventual city scape thingy. with the walk way i made previous. the ship is also another model a quickly made this morning to flesh out this admission.also i have made the .PSD awvailable for download so if anyone would like to have a go at putting there own backdrop in please do.
obviously if you do have a go please send me a note or put a link to it in the comments on this deviation.

A fascinating image. Excellent textures on the pad and Gantry. The Fighter has a unique design that seems inspired by the Stargate SG1 Needle Threader death gilder and Asgard ships with the right color tones and illumination from the intakes and cockpit it could easily fit such. It also seems to be missing any landing gear or entry ramp which again favors futuristic/ Alien/ Space craft over jet.
The Gantry bridge is a very modern and realistic design with a solid metal feel. but it seems to clash with the sleeker smoother styles of the Pad and Fighter. Well the fighter fits well with the Pad's style.

lighting is something that really annoys me sometimes, especially when it takes so long to render. i must have spent more time waiting for renders than actually modelling! so after about 5 different renders, i gave up and left it at this. i am looking into lighting a little more now to get a better feel for it.

Just experiment with a 3Point light setup. That's good enough for the most circumstances.

That is a really cool landing pad, love the various stuff going around the outside, even the chrome/stainless looking parts
