Description acrostics on a loom.Β

something lingering under the surface on this one... considering writing a part ii, if the psyche tempts me enough.

(maybe i'm missing something, but it seems dA won't allow me to put images in any other poetry category except found/visual...? this really should be in traditional+fixed, i suppose. )

"like she's spent 3.2 million years of hominid evolution at the local gas station waiting for somewhere to go"

--love that. the juxtaposition of something as grand as human evolution and something as small as a gas station loiterer.

"limbs skimming linoleum"
alliteration-vowel-sound-combos
visions of dry desert and a dusty
arid western locale. Β and 'lucy'
as the title evokes, yes, the early
human hominid, but every other
rare Lucy ever met. Β the whole
poem is memorably old and dry,
and a bit... ghostly pip
