Love the filtering of this one. Kind of makes it look stark but it still draws you to look a lot closer at it.

That's the effect I was trying to achieve - the parks board still has alot of work to do in this park, right now it still looks like a flooded gravel pit with a few trails around it - but at least they are making the effort to improve the property now that it has served its purpose. Thank you for the

Adaera In reply to SucieDesigns [2007-04-16 16:54:10 +0000 UTC]

It's quite nice, yes. I think they are still working on areas of the park, as there are still many gravelled areas and not much work has been done on the trails, but either way it's better than an open gravel pit.

Heh. Would you believe I have stacked as many as 8 graduated filters in front of a lens at once? Not my madness, but the madness of some cameramen!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Adaera In reply to JosephThomas [2007-04-08 18:42:33 +0000 UTC]

Yes, I would believe that. I don't have that many yet, so I can't try it

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JosephThomas In reply to Adaera [2007-04-08 18:52:13 +0000 UTC]

Heh...well, we only used a fraction of what we had on the job. We carried about forty graduated filters with us, and these suckers are 6.6" x 6.6". We had 'em on the top, on the bottom, every which-a-way. Funny thing is, next time I worked with that cameraman he didn't use any filters!

Adaera In reply to JosephThomas [2007-04-08 18:54:32 +0000 UTC]

Well where's the challenge in that?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JosephThomas In reply to Adaera [2007-04-08 18:58:37 +0000 UTC]

The challenge, I guess, is to make the scene look good without resorting to filtration!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Adaera In reply to JosephThomas [2007-04-08 19:30:38 +0000 UTC]

Very true. I did take some shots without the filter, but I wanted to get some comments on filter usage, so I didn't post the non-filtered ones.

Thank you, Neal. Yes, it's getting used...but I still need more practice with these filters to get the best, full effects, I think.

This park is on the southeast corner of 192 St. and 28 Ave., I think.
I was driving up and down all of the sideroads in this area, so it's easy to forget where I was, but I'm pretty sure that's where this park is. I might be able to do April 14, have to check my calendar first, but it seems to be in a box somewhere at the moment

I'm glad you like my gallery
