the applications (and the group in general) got an update so i took this opportunity to redesign atlin a bit
i didnt quite get it to look the way i wanted it to? but im satisfied for now i suppose
ill make a relationship call for it too, sometime !!

Atlin was originally "born" into the late Hunt Era, but in order to avoid the violence went into a hibernation of sorts and only recently awoke in the Renewal Era

Primarily it/its/itself but it will also accept they/them pronouns

atlin estimates itself to be about 10 feet or slightly taller

~ Abilities ~

other than physical abilities, atlin has fairly strong healing abilities and produces a somewhat acidic spit when threatened. it can also see in complete darkness.

~ Backstory ~

Atlin was "born" (manifested?) somewhere around the seventh year of the ten year Hunt Era. after spending 2 years experiencing the hate and violence against enaders, it decided to hide away in a deep cave and fall into a hibernation, in hopes that when it awoke there would be peace. It recently woke up to find things more settled down but not at all peaceful yet. Atlin now roams around, sticking mainly to areas with little human influence. It usually rests in natural caverns, where humans rarely explore.

just random facts in no real order:
-It is wary of both humans and enaders, typically preferring the company of animals. However, when approached carefully, one will find it is quite friendly and fiercely protective/parental of those it cares for.
-u can't really tell, but u can assume that it is always looking at you
-some parts of it are shimmery and its horn is sort of shiny (which is located on its back)
-strong parental instincts
-cares too much but is very bad at expressing it
-nonverbal (physically incapable of coherent speech, but will make various noises in response to things)
-despite not being able to speak, it has no trouble writing and can communicate that way if necessary
-it gets hurt pretty often in its travels but never bothers to care for itself properly
-hell yeah monster mouth (you cant really tell in this picture, but you can see it on the original ref williamthedork.deviantart.com/… )
-will occasionally be seen absentmindedly chewing on its hands or tail, especially when deep in thought or anxious
-is anxious a lot of the time
-be careful when approaching. its not in its nature to hurt without reason, but its important to earn its trust somehow if you wanna be its friend
-uses it/its pronouns because thats how it was referred to by humans and its just sort of embraced it. it also feels like its sort of reclaiming these pronouns, since they were used against it to treat it like an animal. upon realizing there are other pronouns tho, it decided it also like they/them. not she/he though, as it doesnt have a gender.
-loves plants and caring for them but isnt very good at it
-usually misunderstood because a) looks and b) awful communication skills
- it takes a bit of patience to befriend them
-very animalistic in its actions and often follows its instincts
-hates seeing others in pain and will heal anyone/thing it can anyway that it can
-it likes collecting jewelry to wear, and loves the jingle sounds of the metals clinking against one another. at different times it may be wearing different jewelry/accessories
-idk if you can tell from the picture, but the fur on its legs is really short like a horse until you get to the hooves. same with the tail
