Description
A woman smokes alone on a worn cobblestone road in Paris.

I wanted to practice something that I feel I never do, which is scenery. I'm particularly bad at architectural stuff, so that's why I decided to try and tackle a Parisian scene. I was expecting to do something with the Eiffel Tower, but I found a picture of this view of a close set street and it struck a particular cord. I forgot where I got the picture from (some stock site) so if you recognize it please message me.

I took some liberties with it here and there, like the signs say different things and the colors are drastically different, considering it was a bright sunny picture. It also had a guy on a cellphone in the spot where I put the smoking woman.

Another thing that I was trying out was the coloring. I pretty much just used a bunch of gradients.

Props go out to I used their Metal Rust Texture 21, even though it's hardly noticeable.

All done in PhotoShop CS5 using various brushes and such and my Wacom Bamboo tablet.
