the fungal (or plant? bacterial? invertebrate? the wildife or too foreign actually pinpoint) is interestingly done, this certainly does fit well into the sci-fi category, the inclusion of what appears to be either a moon or barren planet in the sky is also remarkably done.
the strange fence-like flesh that is near the bottom right does look award in this painting, but the fact you are putting this location in such a bizarre location means I should over-look such things instead of passing judgement on it.
this is superb, like all work tends to be.

It's nice to see a traditional artist like yourself doing such fine quality work. Digital media is trying to take over, but there is a quality missing in it that can only be found in traditional painting. The works that you post help express this. While I myself am a 3D artist, I have a strong appreciation for your work and hope to one day achieve this level of real-media skill. You are an inspiration.

alright markus. nice perspective on the colours.something i mess up a bit. can see youre fond of rodney matthews. wouldnt be surprised if i saw this on an old osibisa or progressive rock album cover. definately worth including on the devart gallery.dan.

1. maybe it's a kinda stupid Q but...how did you scan it?
2. how did you do those rocks in the background...which brushes did you use?

First thanks to all of you for your compliments!
To answer the two questions:
1. I have scanned it in 4 steps (because I donΒ΄t have such a big scanner) and then put the 4 pieces together on the computer (this was about half an hour of work)
2.I did the mountains with very thin brushes (1 or 0 I think) I only painted the highlights of the rocks over the background

I hesitated at first to comment on this piece because it amazed me to such a great extent and I'm bad at words hehe! But this painting is absolutely magnificent, not only is the concept beautiful and whimsical but the actual skill in painting this is one of the best I've ever seen!!

That is one of the most beautiful pictures I think I have seen in quite a long while. Oh the colours and the composition are so amazing. I wish I could find the perfect words for it but I seem to be at a loss. The moon's texture is excellent and so is the texture and form of most everything. What a lovely place. Beautiful job.
