Two girls born with two different destinies, one for light the other for dark. Each raised differently but longing for the same goal in their life.I worked so hard on this picture of Arcee and Dagger and my scanner decided it was something good to eat. I hate it.
This is the two dressed in what is suppose to be regal forms, Arcee takes on wings and a lovely lolita style dress that I based off of Yuuko Ichihara from the 5th Manga cover of XXXholic. Its such a beautiful dress it really is, but its originally black, and I wanted to show the detail that is in it, so I tried the best job I could on the greys. Her wings were something new I decided to try, based a tiny bit off a picture ~hopelessromantic721 did of Arcee, only those wings were more robtic, but they're still pretty. The glaive was ~hopelessromantic721 's idea as well in a dicussion we had gotten into when I sent her a chapter from my story.
Dagger's outfit came from a cosplayer picture I found in ~ddphoto 's gallery. It was a really beautiful costume that I thought would make a beautiful outfit for Dagger. Originally the color in Dagger's wings were a darker pink, but I lost it, and for some reason light pink doesn't agree with my scanner.
The kanji reads Princesses of Iacon, or as close to Iacon as I could find.
I love this picture so much, I think I started on it about two weeks ago and I just love it to death.
Dagger is to me.
Arcee's design is to myself as well, but the character herself belongs to the Hasbro people.

dispite you say the scanner ate the colors, I still think it looks pretty nice regardless, it's hardly noticable really

Beautiful work, Dagger came out very pretty. *snuggles her* I love what you did with Acree's dress.
Though for the shading I'd suggest one of two things - hard-edged shading, look to manga artists for reference (Bleach is a great one for blacks, since the shinigami's outfits are black by nature.), or to grab a copic clear blending marker and blend the colors together. It has a bit of an unfinished look to me right now. And don't be afraid to give some light blue shadows to Dagger's outfit!! ^^ If you look at white during the day, the shadows are bluish due to the sky.
Very nice composition as well!! I might suggest extending the staff of the glaive all the way to the bottom, both because it would need to be in front of her knee, and also as a sort of border between the both of them.

Hard edged? Is that where you have like the lines showing in the darker sections? And I've been meaning to get a new clear blender from Copic for a while, mine is so nasty right now, I really need new markers period.
I did do light blue shadows, they got eatten by the scanner **kicks it** If I could show the original to you some how I would love to because I did some beautiful shading in colored pencil on both Dagger and Arcee.
I thought about that two about the glaive, extending it, but I got so worried it would look weird ya know?

If you rub the blender on a blank piece of paper after you use it, the color should come out. And this was the only piece by Tite I could find, the bikini picture XD. [link] Look at Yoruichi's body (The black girl with the large chest.), that's what I mean by hard-edged. Even then, it looks like he uses a blender in a few places, but you see what I mean, ja?
Ahhh, okay. Well, you'll have to show me the original when I visit you. 
*nods* But right now, it makes Acree's anatomy look wrong, so I would extend it.

I might need to play around with the scanner some so I can try and make the blue show up. It really upsetted me that the color I did add to enhanced the everything ;-; makes me said.

For the text, go online and google "AMES lettering guide". It's what the comic professionals have used since they started. I use it too, it's a wonderful tool.

Oh my gosh! This is just mind-boggling! You did such an amazing job on this! The details in their outfits is just... I can't think of the words for it right now. The Lolita outfit is beyond adorable and you did a great job on all of the shading with the greys. I am also very pleased with Peppermint's glaive! It suits her. I really hope that you will do more art with them dressed like this!
