Description Sherlock indulges in a clandestine cigarette.

The title comes from a quote from the original Sherlock Holmes story "The Sign of Four" in which Watson warns Holmes against drug use.

He tells him to โ€œCount the cost! Your brain may, as you say, be roused and excited, but it is a pathological and morbid process which involves increased tissue-change and may at least leave a permanent weakness."

But let's face it, we love to see Sherlock indulging in perilous behavior.

Sure!

It's actually walnut ink that I diluted with water and sprayed onto the paper before inking the image in black.
