Description
Name: Lyle
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Digivice: Phone
Digital Shard: Knowledge
Height: 6’3
Nationality: Australian
Personality:
Lyle is normally quiet and distant person, though he wants to make friends, but is by no means introverted. He’s usually very proud and certain that most of whatever he’s doing is the right way because he learned it from a book or from the internet, and isn’t deterred by his lack of experience of being around people often...and he’s always willing to learn from others.
Around others he enjoys the company of he breaks out of his shell and becomes more talkative and a little bit of a nerd, even a bit of a goofball because he wants them to like him. Lyle also holds high values over being able to settle things without violence and will do his best to do so….but he will fight if he has to.
When angry or proven wrong he’s more the type to sit back quietly and think about what he’s learned to use later, and redoubles his efforts to make better use of himself to help others, even if he seems to do it in a rather selfish way by tending to put himself first though he wants others to rely on his abilities and recognize him. He’s also very into football (soccer) and loves to play it and watch it be played, but his teamwork needs a little helping.
History:
His parents divorced at a young age, but were always very active in his life. His mother and father remained loose friends throughout his childhood even though they lived in different cities, and his father encouraged him in his education while his mother pushed him to learn and be active in sports. When he lived in Sydney with his father on holidays, he didn’t have many friends and spent a majority of his time browsing books and the internet inside. His father is a rather laid back yet determined man who often left him alone when he was old enough so he could work extra hours and go on several dates with many women who never quite worked out.
The opposite was quite true at his mother’s; he had a few close friends and played football well into his teens throughout his school life while living with her. Being a very active and cheerful woman, Lyle’s mother would often show up at his games and gave him massive support, and she loved making sure he had everything he needed at all times.
When he left to prepare for Uni and live with his father however his few friends went their separate directions, and he hasn’t heard from them much, making Lyle retreat into himself bit and become rather lonely. He was actually outside returning from the nearest store with groceries when he almost stepped on a small purple crystal-like thing, and not seeing an owner around, took it. He was shocked a few minutes later when he returned home to find a squishy, horned thing on his patio that said his name over and over again.
Initially thinking he was crazy, Lyle wasn’t sure what to make of this new apparent pal, Unglumon, but after a brief explanation and looking up some things on the internet and finding out the crystal had disappeared and instead became one with his phone, he learned of the agencies in Japan. After talking to his dad for some money and almost getting shot down on going on a trip to Japan all of the sudden, he managed to make it through with some half promises to get a job and pay him back and barely managing to shove Unglumon in his bag for the plane ride. As soon as he arrived he went straight to the agency planning to ‘return’ the digimon, but when he found out he couldn’t he joined the agency out of necessity…and the little guy was kind of growing on him too.
