Description “The Last Tier War… I’ve never heard of something like that,” said Sparx. “Thank you,” Ace replied. “That means we did a good job of keeping it a secret. Because if everyone knew about this, people would stop playing Smash. The game, and the sport, would end. And we couldn’t let that happen. Not with the world being as it is now.” After saying that, he looked outside the tent. “Wow, sunset already?” He went outside. Sparx got up and went after him and said: “Hey, wait! What did you mean by that?” Richard chuckled as he slowly got up. “Aah, those guys…”, he said. And with that he also left the tent.

Sparx looked around, but couldn’t find Ace anywhere. “I’m up here,” said Ace. She looked up and saw Ace standing on top of a palm tree. Ironically, it was the tree the stone slab was leaning on. “I don’t know why,” he started, “But I love sunsets. And I’ve never seen one in a desert before. So this is kinda different.” After a moment of silence, Sparx asked, “How did you get up there, anyway?” After hearing that, Ace looked down, jumped down from the tree, lifted Sparx up and jumped back on top of the tree. “Like that,” he said. “And to answer your question from before, the game has literally become a part of this world, and to ignore that fact is unacceptable. That’s why we had to stop the war and make sure no one knew about it.” Ace jumped down from the tree and put Sparx down. “Well, that’s the end of that sunset,” Ace said.

“Wait a minute. Why did people get mad about the stone slab, anyway?” Sparx asked. “Well, it had a certain symbolism to it,” Richard said. “A symbolism that was very well known throughout the entire world.” Sparx shook her head, like she had no clue what Richard meant. “He’s referring to the Ten Commandments,” Ace said. “It was written in stone, just like the Ten Commandments. As a symbol of being the gospel truth. Whoever made this stone slab, wanted to people to get that kind of impression from it. And they knew it would get under their skin, seeing
as religion has always been a touchy subject.” “But yeah,” Richard started, “Because of that stone slab, people got pissed, started blaming each other, they got even more pissed, and then the fighting began. And we had to stop it all. We being the TDE Alliance.”

Sparx mouthed the letters “TDE” without making a sound, trying to figure out what they meant. Ace ran into Richard’s tent and came back out with his bag. He pulled something out of his bag. It was a blue vest. He put it on and turned his back to Sparx. On the back of the vest was a big symbol in the middle. It was the Ace of Spades. Around it, was written: Tires Don Exits. Sparx was about to ask about it, when Ace interrupted: “It’s a misspelling of the phrase ‘Tiers don’t exist’. An incident from long ago, still remembered by smashers worldwide. This was the name we used when we stopped the street battles, and all unauthorized matches.”

After Ace said that, Richard walked over to the stone slab, kneeled in front of it, and said: “The TDE Alliance consisted of all the smashers who knew about the consequences of the fighting and banded together to stop it. That includes the entire Sheikah Tribe as well. In the process of keeping the peace we discovered the real reason behind the tier list, and why the fighting started. Someone took advantage of the confusion to look for a Smash Ball. We noticed groups of odd characters looking for shards. They managed to collect 12 of them, and put them together to form a Smash Ball. We didn’t know what they were going to do with them, but we weren’t eager to find out. We fought and defeated the odd characters, that turned out to be living polygons of some sort. And we broke the tier list, even though everyone else thought it was destroyed. Not wanting them to know the truth, the Sheikah Tribe kept the stone slab in their possession, and moved away from civilization. But of course, not before Ace did this.”
Richard grabbed the stone slab on both sides, lifted it up and turned it around and placed it back. The back of the stone slab revealed a crude engraving, seemingly made by a sharp object, which read: TIERS DONT EXIST.
