Coyote Valley in Rocky Mountain National Park. I spent a morning surrounded by frost and fog, wandering through the fields just after the elk woke up and headed off for breakfast. 4 HDR shots combined, 12 images total.Related content

Thank you Sonja. I wish you could see it better in the photo, but all of the grass was covered with a fine layer of frost. It was amazing to walk around in the fields, with so much tall grass matted down by sleeping elk the night before. And of course I became soaking wet in freezing temperatures!
