The words roll off his tongue slowly in a hushed tone; this simple three-word sentence often sends shivers down your spine, haunting your thoughts. It’s a sentence that used to hold so much light and love, but now it seemed more like a mantra that he repeats in order to convince himself.

Limber arms snakes around your waist, fingertips ghosting over exposed skin, pushing you against the soft mattress. He’s careful not to lean his entire weight on you; he’s sure that you’d suffocate under him. The only source of light in this room shrouded with darkness was the lights of street lamps seeping in through the blinds, shining into his droopy teal eyes.
