Description
A batch of sigaret lighter designs for the Unilite company - our brief was to design something appealing to the masses and had a funky contemporary twist. But the main objective was to make it appealing to African or South African people.Related content

Very cool color and illustration combination. I think you better than make something South African's would like, I could easily see that design on a lighter in Europe and the Americas. Good Job

I love the design. The animal graphics are great, so is the whole thing. I only wonder id it's gonna be seeable on small lighters...

I found your link on *Dejas 's journal and thought I'd take a peek. This is wonderful work! I really like this one, especially. It has a very urban feel to it, yet I know it's supposed to be African-themed. Nicely done!!

Nice work. I think this tall size is perfect also for personal cards for the Unite company, it has a strong appeal. Try something like: 12x9 (tall, narrow) for the picture, a black shape covering the bottom (4x9), plus some bold, square and clean typogrphy for the contacts. Additionally, 1x9 white border might looks good.

sweet... but I'm not a fan of the vector drops, they hold to much of the attention, and arn't important.

I geuss I just wanted to use them in something, since Im kinda still experimenting, and trying to find my style... I just found the "drop" style to be very vibey and funky, they appeal quite nicely to youth, thats the reason I used it.
Lighters should be eyecandy, thats what I tried to create!

Just spent the whole day taking photos and carrying stuff at the Belgian Shepherd Club trophy show... Boy, am I glad that I wore my hat... And my boy did quite well... And wasn't nearly as aggro on the lead as he was the last time. I need to socialise him more. And then, music, going well and my t-shirts for the Belgie club came back from print and they look stunning. So I'm relieved that I didn't make my name black for choosing a bad supplier. Also writing lots, but I don't think you would find the subject matter all that appealing as it's a black comedy involving a possessed teddy bear... For a horror story commission I got from someone.
